Tanya Hanson - Communications Coordinator/Staff Attorney

Tanya Hanson graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law, Eugene, Oregon (JD 1994) and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1994. She received a BS in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Oregon in 1991. Ms. Hanson spent four years in private practice, working in business and employment law with a Portland law firm. Before joining the Professional Liability Fund, she was the associate editor at Business Valuation Resources and an adjunct instructor at Pioneer Pacific College. Ms. Hanson has been with the PLF since 2004, serving as the Loss Prevention Attorney from 2004 to 2020. She now works as Communications Coordinator and Staff Attorney for the PLF. She is the co-author of The New What Can You Do With a Law Degree? A Lawyer’s Guide to Career Satisfaction Inside, Outside & Around the Law (LawyerAvenue Press, Seattle: 2012).
