We are very pleased to announce that Megan Livermore will become the new Chief Executive Officer of the PLF as of July 1, 2021.

Ms. Livermore has been a business and real estate attorney in Oregon for over 15 years, with the majority of her legal career spent at two Eugene law firms – Gaydos Churnside & Balthrop PC and, most recently, Hutchinson Cox. She has focused her practice around advising clients on strategic planning, business transactions, IP management, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and cannabis law. In addition to her legal expertise, Ms. Livermore’s background includes entrepreneurial experience – helping to launch a successful tech company from startup to IPO – and she has enjoyed working with her entrepreneur and emerging business clients. Before entering private practice, she served as a law clerk in the Trial Division of the Oregon Department of Justice and subsequently clerked for the Honorable Darryl L. Larson in Lane County Circuit Court.

Ms. Livermore is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession. Recognized by her peers for her efforts in the Oregon legal community, she received the Oregon State Bar President’s Diversity & Inclusion Award in 2016 and was named Diversity Champion by the Oregon State Bar Convocation on Equality in 2011.

Our Board of Directors selected Ms. Livermore after an extensive recruitment process. We are confident that her excellent qualifications, commitment to public service, and high regard among her colleagues and in the profession will provide the PLF with the leadership we need to embrace new challenges in the years ahead as we continue to fulfill our mission of serving Oregon lawyers.
